FOR SALE
The Menard County Highway Department will be accepting sealed bids for multiple pieces of used equipment which include a 2005 International 7400 tandem truck, 1965 Allis Chalmers D Grader, 1987 Etnyre Distributor, and 1999 Etnyre Chip Spreader. Menard County Road District #2 will also be accepting sealed bid on a Hurricane Ditcher/Mower.
All equipment will be sold on an "AS IS" condition basis with no warranty or guarantee of equipment condition or performance. All sales are final. The terms of the sale are cash or cashier’s check once the highest bidder is determined.
All equipment excluding the Hurricane Ditcher/Mower may be viewed by appointment at 15620 Chautauqua Rd Petersburg, IL 62675. The Hurricane Ditcher/Mower may be viewed at 30991 Fancy Prairie Ave Athens, IL 62613. Call (217) 632-2722 to schedule an appointment.
All bids must be received by 11:00 AM on January 22, 2025, at the Menard County Highway Department located at 15620 Chautauqua Rd Petersburg, IL 62675 with opening of the sealed bids to follow.
The Menard County Highway Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive irregularities therein.

Description of Services
The Menard County Highway Department is responsible for the construction and maintenance of all bridges and roads in the Menard County Highway System. In addition to constructing and maintaining the 95 miles of county highways and 24 bridges, upon request, the department provides advice and assistance to the nine road districts concerning the 392 miles of highways and 49 bridges under road district jurisdiction.
